Lose yourself in Ecuador’s elegant capital Quito and explore the UNESCO recognised colonial centre. Then it’s onto the Mashpi cloud forest, before cruising through the islands that changed the course of science.

Samply Itinerary
Day 1 - Quito

Arrive in Quito then private transfer to Casa Gangotena, your exclusive base for the next two nights.
Day 2 - Quito
Take a morning walking tour of the UNESCO-listed old town of Quito before heading to the ‘Middle of the World’ monument to literally straddle the equator. Enjoy a free afternoon to cafe hop, or watch the sunset from Quito’s Panecillo Hill.
Day 3 - Quito > Mashpi
Enjoy the scenic chauffeured drive to Mashpi Lodge, tucked away in a 2,500 acre private nature reserve. Your guide will guide you through the cloud forest, spotting incredible orchids and riding the canopy gondola.
Day 4 - Mashpi

Join a dawn birdwatching excursion before either hiking by Mashpi’s incredible waterfalls, or heading up to the 30m observation tower to see life high in the trees.
Day 5 - Mashpi > Quito
Enjoy the last moments in Mashpi before returning to Casa Gangotena or a similar luxury hotel ahead of transfer to Galápagos
Day 6 - Quito > Galápagos
Board the flight to Galápagos and then join the 16-passenger Ocean Spray for a three-night cruise (longer sailings and alternative vessels available).
Day 7 - Galápagos
See blue-footed boobies, sea lions and the island’s famous marine iguanas on twice-daily shore excursions via panga.
Day 8 - Galápagos

Another full day of exploration, include naturalist-led excursions or the chance to snorkel with green turtles off Bartolomé. Alternatively, hike to the summit of Prince Philip’s Steps on Genovesa.
Day 9 - Galápagos > Quito
Transfer day, returning to the mainland and connecting with your overnight flight home, or spending a final night in the city before heading home on day 10.
Day 10 - Return
Arrive home if overnight option chosen, or head to the airport for your return flight.
